Tarbert is where the ferry across the Shannon makes its landing.
It is at the northern-most part of Kerry.
The ferry runs every 30 minutes or so and there is no need to
purchase a ticket in advance. Fares are collected on board. There's a good map
of the Ring of Kerry provided courtesy of
Shannon Ferries.
We strongly recommend taking the ferry across the Shannon. If
you are playing golf at Ballybunion, you will be
close by if you stay in Kilkee, Listowel or even Tralee.
Of course, if you stay in Ballybunion, you can have a nice Irish
breakfast before making your way to the course.
