Spanish Car Rentals
When renting a car in Spain, you can expect a late-model car in good condition. Still, it is a good idea to make a note of any defects, scratches or dents in the body of the vehicle and the condition of the interior before taking possession. This assessment should agree with the paperwork you are given. Spanish Driving Laws The blood alcohol limit in Spain is .05 mg/ml and seat belts are required for both the front and rear seats. The maximum speed limit in Spain is 120 kpm. Traffic fines are imposed on the spot if you are a tourist in Spain. Make sure you have sufficient cash on hand in case you get stopped. Drivers must be over 21 years and have held a full driving licence for a minimum of 12 months. No maximum age restriction or surcharge. Travel Information Here's an odd (but probably good) law. If you wear spectacles (glasses) you must carry a spare pair in your car at all times. Also, make sure you do not overstay your visit to Spain if you are not from an EU country. Those who do are in danger of spending some time in jail before being deported. |
