Irish Golf Courses and Hotels with Golf Courses

Irish Golf Courses

The map to the left lists for you golf courses by county in Ireland. If a course is ranked in the top 100 golf courses in Ireland, it will be noted on the listing.

If you'll move your mouse curser over the counties on the map, information should appear.

The top-100 rankings on the Irish golf courses are courtesy of Ireland Golf Digest.

Golfing in Ireland

While it certainly can be one of the greatest golf experiences in the world, Irish golf may be a bit different from golfing in the States.

Here are some things to consider before you run amuck at Ballybunion:

The Irish take their golf very seriously and a light rain will not interfere with playing the round.

Buggies (golf carts) are not available on all courses so it's good to check beforehand.

Most golf courses in Ireland do not have driving ranges attached so it's best to practice warming up in other ways (hugging the missus?).

Even the top courses in Ireland will usually let visitors play so you, as a visitor, can experience the best golf Ireland has to offer.

Green fees are relatively inexpensive and can vary greatly from course to course in Ireland.

As in the States, it is customary to visit the 19th hole after play so hotels with golf courses are becoming very popular..
