There are two great beaches in Ibiza, Ses Salines and Es Cavallet, and other coves (calas) scattered around the Island.

Inside the stone walls of the old town, note the Portal de Ses Taules, a dramatic portal able to withstand intense attack and check out the Museu d'Art Contemporani for an afternoon of modern visual stimulation.

Local archeological treasures can be re-found at the Museu Arquelogic d' Eivissa I Formentera and don't let anyone talk you out of a trip to the Punic necropolis, where crowds of people are heard whispering to each other: " Why ARE there so many images of the fertility goddess, Tanit, found here?"

There is also a charged gay scene and live music in most clubs every night. Check out Amnesia for an unforgettable time.

Unfortunately, Ibiza has had some bad press of late due to the bad behavior of a number of its guests. The government is trying to make the place more tranquilo but good luck with that.

Still, be careful when on holiday in Ibiza. Be careful but rock on.
