Honfleur
(Lower
Normandy) Pop: 8,200
Situated on what is known as the "Flower Coast" of France,
Honfleur is a small port city that shares a common geography
with the British Channel and the Seine estuary.
Of unique interest are its unusual timbered
houses with slate fronts that have been often painted by
artists, including Johan Jonkind, Claude Monet, and Gustave
Courbert.
