Vehicle Theft Waiver Premium Location/Airport Fee These are fees charged at some locations to cover the costs of services in the location. VAT Local Tax This is a tax applied by the government on car rental and the percentage (%) varies from country to country. Road Fund Tax (RFT) This is a charge applied by rental companies to cover the cost of vehicle licensing. Unlimited Mileage With some car hire, renters are charged for the amount of distance travelled over the period of the rental. In most cases, this is not so with CarTrawler. When you input your information on the booking engine below, the display page will show you the number of adults and children a model will safely hold and how much luggage the car will carry. Important Tip: Make sure you select a type of vehicle under the "car group" drop-down list. If you wish to view all car choices available, please select "Show All." This will give you a complete selection of all types of vehicles available through CarTrawler. CarTrawler now offers excess insurance protection. Most car rental companies charge an Excess. if you have a claim - typically you pay the first GBP 1,000 or so. Unlike most policies issued by car rental companies Cartrawler's Excess insurance covers windows, tyres, undercarriage, roof and loss of keys. Excess Insurance gives you complete peace of mind for just GBP 4.73 per day. This is normally far less then you will pay when picking up your car. The policy will cover up to GBP 2000 of any excess; it can be used on any vehicle type. You may select this insurance when booking your car.
