| There are strong advisories suggesting Westerners not
travel to Zimbabwe at this time. This time means any time from now to
the foreseeable future. Latex gloves are suggested when renting a car in Zimbabwe
because, in case of an accident, you have a good chance of being in contact with someone
who has AIDS.
This may sound grim and self serving but it certainly is
a real possibility.
Also, there is a national fuel shortage and visitors are urged
not to drive at night. We wouldn't want to run out of petrol and get eaten
by a lion now, would we?
