The Tauber River flows below in a valley 180 feet (55 meters) deep.

You'll then travel to a land where only fairytales exist! Visit the castle of Hohenschwangau, where King Ludwig II of Bavaria spent his childhood and then step into the magical world of Castle Neuschwanstein, the most breathtakingly majestic castle built on the ruins of "Vorder und Hinterhohenschwangau."

For those who don't have much time to see Germany's spectacular Bavarian region, a quick stop in Rothenburg is the tour for you! Travel from Frankfurt along the Romantic Road to the once free city of Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber, Germany's preserved 'Jewel of the Middle Ages'.

Enjoy this picturesque town and perhaps visit the well known Christmas Shop in your spare time.

Travel past Dinkelsbuhl, Nordlingen and Donauworth, with their high gabled houses and cobbled streets.

Wurzburg Day Tour from Frankfurt

Travel comfortably by motor coach on this full day trip from Frankfurt to Wurzburg and enjoy the best of both worlds. Join a city tour to see the city's main sites and then there's enough free time to set off on your own adventures.

You'll depart Frankfurt early and head along the Romantic Road, arriving in Wuerzburg at approximately 10:00am. After a short walk to the market square you may pick up your copy of a Wuerzburg guidebook at the tourist information in return for your voucher.

(Please note that on Saturdays, you are invited to join an English-guided city-tour at 1:00pm instead, which takes you along the major points of interest). Later that day you will also join a guided inside tour of the Residenz, a beautiful baroque castle.

After you have gained some first impressions of Wuerzburg take time out for lunch. Just stroll down the road to the Restaurant Ratskeller, where lunch is provided.

The rest of the day is at you're leisure. Choose to take cruise on the river Main, or visit one of the city's numerous wine makers for some wine tasting. Your coach departs again from the main station in Wuerzburg, reaching Frankfurt M. station at about 7:30 pm.
